Bobby C. Martin Jr.

Design Director, Jazz at Lincoln Center

New York City's famous Abyssinian Baptist Church is central to this design case study by Bobby Martin. In it, he tells how the rebranding effort he led for the church (he's also worked at Ogilvy + Mather) expanded to involve the surrounding community in Harlem. An example of how design can lead to change.

Wow!
This represents everything that I believe in and hope to some day do as a graphic designer!

Mr. Martin must be commended for the brilliant simplicity and thoroughness of this design campaign.

I am awestruck! I know all to well the effort, the time, the sweat and the tears of "church work" as soon as you think to walk away, something (like the Holy Spirit) brings you back. Using design talent for a divine purpose, has always been my way of giving back, of so much I have been given!

Thanks for sharing!
